Trekking Component: Chopta–Tungnath–Chandrashila
-
This part is usually a 3–5 day trek in Uttarakhand’s Garhwal region, with road access from Rishikesh/Haridwar to Chopta or Sari/Baniyakund.
-
The route typically covers Deoriatal (optional), Chopta meadows, Tungnath (world’s highest Shiva temple at around 3,500 m), and Chandrashila summit at roughly 3,700–3,950 m for 360° Himalayan views.
-
It is graded easy‑to‑moderate, with well‑paved trails from Chopta to Tungnath and a steeper but short climb from Tungnath to Chandrashila, suitable for fit beginners
Rishikesh Rafting Escape
-
The “escape” portion adds one rafting day on the Ganga near Rishikesh, combining the trek with grade II–III rapids such as Club House, Roller Coaster, and Double Trouble depending on stretch chosen.
-
Most itineraries start early from Rishikesh, drive to the Chopta region for the trek, then return to Rishikesh for rafting and a final night or departure.
-
This mix gives both mountain summit adventure and river‑based adrenaline in a compact 4–6 day holiday, popular with students, beginners, and long‑weekend travellers from North India.
