After an early breakfast on the 3rd day of the Sri Lanka itinerary, embark on a day trip to the Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Another attraction of the day is the world-popular frescoes of Sigiriya’s ‘Heavenly Maidens,’ a covered rock pocket accessible by a spiral stairway. In the afternoon, visit Habarana to embark on an elephant safari, spotting the region’s exotic wildlife. Back to the hotel at night for an overnight stay.

Today, after breakfast, we hit the road to Kandy. On the way, halt at any of the Spice Gardens. Another UNESCO World Heritage Site, Kandy, is home to several historic sites. Once you arrive in Kandy, visit the Peradeniya University campus, the Temple of the Tooth Relic, and the Royal Botanical Gardens. Go to the Upper Lake Drive and enjoy some lovely city views. Later, you can visit the popular Kandy markets, famous for gems, batiks, jewelry, silks, handicrafts, and more. The evening is scheduled for attending a Kandyan Dance performance. Stay overnight in Kandy.

Once you have breakfast, leave for Beruwala. En route, halt at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, one of the most famed attractions in Sri Lanka.
