Day 1

Pune to Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad)

  • 11:00 AM — Arrive in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar (Aurangabad)

    • Check-in at your hotel 

  • 12:00 PM — Early lunch at hotel or Yalla Yalla Restaurant

  • 01:00 PM — Head out to explore:

    • Bibi Ka Maqbara (Mini Taj Mahal of the Deccan)

    • Panchakki (ancient water mill and garden complex)

    • Optional: Aurangabad Caves for a prelude to rock-cut architecture

  • 05:00 PM — Evening at leisure: local markets for Himroo shawls, Paithani sarees, and Bidriware

  • 07:30 PM — Dinner at hotel or Kream n Krunch

Day 2

Ellora Caves – Kailash Temple Marvel & Return to Pune

  • 07:00 AM — Depart for Ellora Caves (UNESCO World Heritage Site)
     

  • 08:00 AM – 11:00 AM — Explore Ellora Caves

    • Main highlight: Cave 16 — Kailash Temple

      • A colossal monolithic temple carved top-down from a single rock

      • Intricate sculptures of Hindu deities, celestial beings, and epic scenes

    • Also visit nearby Buddhist Caves (Caves 10-12) and Jain Caves (Caves 30-34) based on time and interest

  • 11:30 AM — Visit Grishneshwar Jyotirlinga Temple (last of the 12 Jyotirlingas, right next to Ellora)

  • 12:30 PM — Lunch at MTDC Restaurant Ellora or return to Aurangabad for lunch

  • 01:30 PM — Depart for Pune

  • 07:00 PM — Arrive back in Pune, tour concludes
