Overview

Gir National Park and wildlife sanctuary is situated in Gujarat, Western India. It was established to protect Asiatic lions along with leopards and antelopes, form the fully protected area of 1,412 km2. Gir National Park consists of a mixed deciduous forest interspersed with semi-evergreen and evergreen trees, scrub jungle, large patches of grasslands and rocky hills. It is the largest dry deciduous forest in Western India. Its region is the sole home of the Asiatic Lion in the wilderness. As per recent census, there are 600+ Asiatic lion individuals in the region. In tune with the objectives of Wildlife Conservation, tourism is allowed on a limited and regulated basis near Sasan-Gir. It is home to the highest concentration of top carnivores - lions and leopards, and also has the single largest population of marsh crocodiles in the country.

Day 1

  • Check in to the Resort and enjoy delightful Lunch.
  • Leisure evening for personal activities. O/N stay.

Day 2

  • Today we have two splendid safaris in Gir national park
  • Morning safari @06:30 to 9:30 or @08:30 to 11:30
  • Evening safari @15:00 to 18:00
  • In the evening, share your days experience while enjoying Hot Tea. O/N stay

Day 3: 

  • Visit Devalia Safari Park (Interpretation Zone) inside Gir — a small fenced area with guaranteed lion sightings, great for last-minute wildlife photos.

  • At your hotel or nearby eatery.

  • Explore nearby attractions if time permits:

    • Kamleshwar Dam (for bird watching)

    • Tulsishyam Hot Springs (around 45 km from Gir)

    • Somnath Temple (about 60 km, if you want a cultural detour)

  • Check-out & Departure:
    Head back to your onward destination.

    Original Government-valid identity card of every participant is required. Forest entry cannot be done without original identity card verification. We won’t responsible if any participant fails to carry identity card.
