It is also home to a variety of bird, reptile and invertebrate species, including the salt-water crocodile.The Sundarbans as a whole encompasses 10,000 km2 of land and water, about 5,980 km2 in India and the balance is in Bangladesh. The entire basin is traversed by a complex network of interconnecting waterways. Tidal waves as high as 75 m are a regular feature here.

Best Time to Visit

The optimal period for a Sundarbans safari is from November to February, when the weather is cooler, and wildlife activity is heightened. This season also coincides with the arrival of migratory birds, enhancing the birdwatching experience.
Day 1
- On arrival Kolkata Station/Airport, our representative will welcome you & escort you to the Gadkhali [3Hrs] by early afternoon, board boat and have lunch, cruise in the forest
- Evening check-in at the resort, and overnight at the resort.
Day 2 & 3
- Full day cruise inside the forest exploring various creeks and canals with visits to watchtowers/canopy-walk.
- Breakfast, and lunch on board, overnight at the resort with dinner.
